Gay Weddings…. A bit of a misnomer as by the law Gay Weddings are illegal in UK . Gay civil partnerships are legal at some venues but today laws are being put forward to allow Gay Civil Partnerships to be conducted in churches and like religious building venues. At the same time the new proposed laws say that the religious bodies have the right to say no to having a Gay Civil Partnership ceremony on their premises. So for example, the Church of England can say no at one of its churches but the law says it is allowed to have gay civil partnerships at Church of England Church premises, but the individual ministers of the Churches can say no. Another point of interest on the subject of Gay “weddings” is: As Gay marriages are illegal, Straight civil partnerships are also illegal. So the laws have a long way to go to obtain equality for all and we can see Civil partnerships available for those straight people who do not want to get married and likewise gay people who do not want a civil partnership but do want a marriage ceremony in church. I hope what i have written is not confusing and we are open to comments of course!

The main venue is to be held in Limassol and the wedding ceremony itself will take place in Paphos after which the prime party will sail up to Limassol from Paphos to be re-united with the remaining wedding party for one BIG party! There really is so much diversity available in Cyprus and we can, and do, know all the right ( and the wrong ) people here in Sunny Cyprus. Its here, 2011 and our Cyprus Wedding calendar is growing for the year and also wedding bookings for 2012. Paphos remains a popular spot reportedly due to its better beaches… of course this view is open to argument and debate with those clients booking at the “best” accommodation on the island in Limassol and with those from the Larnaca district boasting a great beachfront promenade with a Grand Marina. Anyway if its a wedding in Cyprus then be sure we can, and will, find what’s best for you island wide …Its not so much what you know, but who you know in Cyprus and we know people who know people

Here in Sunny Cyprus at this time of year we dont have too many Cyprus weddings to organise and no suprises really as its Christmas! At the moment its 20 deg C day time so feeling great as we could all be having Xmas dinner outside which is just fab! After which we are back to planning mode for all our 2011 weddings due to take place mostly in the spring time here in Cyprus. Happy Days!
When arriving on Aphrodites island , the “Island of Love” for your Cyprus wedding do consider seeing some of the sights . For example at Petra Tou Romiou ( Aphrodites Rock ) or more to the west Aphrodites Baths. Yes Cyprus is full of Aphrodite and she even does some wine White wine of course.
